Crockfords

History

Crockfords is the oldest private members gaming club in the world, although there were certainly casinos and other gambling establishments set up in continental European before its 1828 opening. Whatever the case, it is certainly a doyen of high culture and taste.

The club was founded by William Crockford 180 years ago on Curzon Road, just off the classy Park Lane in Mayfair, London.

Under the sponsorship of the Duke of Wellington, Crockford’s exclusive club attracted the who’s who of London’s Regency society.

The rich and famous were quick to flock to Crockfords, were they were treated to the finest food and wine available and the chance to enjoy gaming in an opulent setting.

Crockfords in the 21st Century

Today, Crockfords continues to promote this tradition in the modern era of casino gaming.

Crockfords, along with its vibrant sister club, The Colony, is at the heart of London’s high-rolling nightlife, situated as it is in the exclusive Mayfair district, close to Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus.

Crockfords Casino

Crockfords is a member of the Stanley Leisure Group, and casino gaming hours run from Monday to Sunday between 12 noon and 6 am.

Crockfords offers two private VIP rooms and an extremely elegant first-floor gaming room, as well as a high-stakes room on the ground floor.

These casino rooms cater for a number of games, including American Roulette, Blackjack, Punto Banco and Three Card Poker.

The Restaurant

The majestic Robert Adam "Wellington Restaurant’, with its intricately adorned ceilings, is one of the jewels of Mayfair and a major highlight of the Crockfords experience.

Diners can enjoy signature Thai and Italian menus, as well as spectacular Oriental, Middle Eastern, British and European cuisine, no to mention the impressive wine list and top-class service.

The restaurant is open from 12 noon to 3 am, Mondays to Saturdays, and from 7.30 pm to 3 am on Sundays.

The Bar

The beauiful Rouje Room cocktail bar is open every day between 12 noon and 4 am, offering a range of drinks from speciality cocktails to hot beverages.
