Casino Table Games

Casino table games can vary greatly in different parts of the world, as well as from casino to casino.

Here, we take a look at some basic rules for popular casino table games from hotel and casino resorts around the world:

Baccarat

In Baccarat, also known as Punto Banco, players bet on which of two hands (made up of at least 2, but no more than 3, cards) will finish closer to 9 total points. Face cards and 10s count as 0 and Aces count as 1.

Blackjack

In Blackjack, or 21, players try to beat the dealer’s hand to make a total closest to 21, without going over this total (going bust).

Face Cards count as 10, while Aces count as either 1 or 11.

Blackjack is one of the most popular casino table games around.

Caribbean Stud Poker

This is a variant of 5-Card Stud Poker (in other words, players receive 5 cards in their hand, rather than playing with community cards) where players play against the dealer, rather than each other.

Craps

In Craps, players bet on the outcome before rolling two die – either in the form of a roll bet (one roll) or sequence bets (a combination of rolls).

Roulette

Place your bet, spin the Roulette Wheel and wait for the ball to land! Players can place bets on one or more numbers; black or red; odds or evens or a couple of other possible split bets. American Roulette has taken over from European Roulette in most parts of the world. It differs slightly in having a Double Zero as well as the Single Zero, which doubles the bank’s chance of busting players.

While not all casinos have casino table games (some, known as electronic casinos, have only electronic gaming and slot machines), many people – particularly high-rollers looking for action on their gambling holiday – see live action as the only action that is worthwhile!
