Casino Iguazu

Casino Iguazu – along with Iguazu Grand Hotel – is a part of the Puerto Iguazu Resort in Misiones, an area that is part of Puerto Iguazu City, Argentina.

Location

Opened in 1995, the casino was built close to – and takes its name from – the awe-inspiring Iguazu Falls in northern Argentina, on the border with Brazil and Paraguay.

Iguazu Falls is one of many natural phenomena in South America. The waterfall system consists of 275 falls along 2.7 kilometres (1.67 miles) of the Iguazu River. Vastly larger than the Niagara Falls, Iguazu’s only rival in terms of size is Southern Africa’s Victoria Falls.

The casino is well placed for the needs of tourists, with the following airports nearby:

  • International Airport Cataratas del Iguazú (Argentina) – 20 km or 15 minutes away
  • International Airport Foz de Iguazú (Brazil) – 15 km or 20 minutes away
  • International Airport Ciudad del Este (Paraguay) – 45 km or 90 minutes away

Casino Iguazu is just 400 m away from the Tancredo Neves International Bridge, which links Argentina to Foz de Iguazu in Brazil. It is also a short 20-minute drive from the casino to Ciudad del Este in Paraguay.

The Iguazu Falls themselves are easily accessible: it takes just 15 minutes to travel the 18 km to the Argentinian side of the falls, and about 45 minutes to cover the 20 km to the Brazilian side.

Casino Iguazu

Sprawling over 1 200 m², the glamorous Casino Iguazu houses 30 gaming tables offering games such as Blackjack, Baccarat, Caribbean Stud Poker and Craps (dice).
