Barcelo Bavaro

Barcelo Bavaro Palace is the flagship hotel in the Barcelo Bavaro Beach Resort, which is the only hotel and casino resort complex in the eastern Punta Cana region of the Dominican Republic.

The 3-km long Bavaro Beach in front of Barcelo Bavara Palace is considered to be one of the top 10 beaches in the world, and a coral reef protects the beach and forms a spectacular natural swimming pool full of marine life.

The resort also houses four other hotels in 600 acres of tropical vegetation, as well as a golf course.

The Hotels

  • Barcelo Bavaro Palace – 558 rooms, including 36 suites. Lies right on Bavaro Beach, secluded from the other hotels. Connected to the Barcelo Bavaro Convention Centre, the most modern and fully equipped convention centre in the Caribbean.
  • Barcelo Bavaro Beach Hotel – 600 rooms. Located on the beach in the resort’s centre.
  • Barcelo Bavaro Caribe Hotel – 401 rooms. Located on the resort’s southern beach.
  • Barcelo Bavaro Golf Hotel – 126 rooms. 200 m from the beach, next to the golf course.
  • Barcelo Bavaro Casino Hotel – 236 rooms, 24-hour casino, air-conditioned theatre.

The Barcelo All Inclusive program gives guests unlimited access to all services in the entire complex, not to mention the entire resort’s recreation and entertainment facilities and activities.

Complementary shuttles run throughout the resort 24 hours a day, while golf carts and electric bicycles can also be rented for getting around the resort.

Barcelo Bavaro Casino

The 24-hour casino in the resort complex can be found in the Barcelo Bavaro Casino Hotel, which is 300 m (328 yds) from the beach and is flanked by the resort’s golf course.

The casino can accommodate about 400 people and houses 18 game tables as well as a number of slot machines.

Games on offer at the premier gaming venue in the Dominican Republic include Caribbean Blackjack, American Roulette, Poker and Billiards.

The casino also has its own bar, as well as the Black Jack and Albatross bars in the Barcelo Bavaro Casino Hotel. The Casno Hotel also has two restaurants – Mirado and La Fuente.

Barcelo Bavaro Casino Travel

Punta Cana International Airport is 15 km from the Barcelo bavaro resort and the trip takes about 25 minutes by car.

From the airport, simply turn right onto the main road towards Santa Domingo and follow the signs to Playa Bavaro. Turn right onto Beron Road and follow the signs to the resort.
